QL Bow and Stern Thruster Range

QL Marine Bow Thrusters by Volvo Penta

NEW Compact Series Bow Thrusters

Ideal for boats where space is limited, the new belt-driven QL thrusters deliver maximum power for the lowest power consumption. The simple, powerful design has fewer moving parts and no oil in the stainless steel underwater unit.

The new compact CT thrusters are available in two models: the CT600 for boats up to 39’ and the CT900 for boats up to 50’ in length.

Since the lower housing is made of Stainless steel, you won’t have to worry about changing zincs! The belt-drive is smooth and produces very little noise and vibration while in operation.

CT Install

Installation is easy – the motor/propeller unit drops in through the top of the tunnel.

CT Control Unit

The improved Control Unit contains the electronics and solenoid, and is mounted remotely from the motor/gear unit to minimize vibration and moisture issues.

The Control Unit has several important safety features:

Overheating protection: the system has software to measure run and pause time. If the thruster runs for 3 minutes, the system automatically shuts off the thruster for 10 minutes.
Electronic delay function: when changing from one direction to the other, there is a 5 second delay to allow the water column in the tunnel to slow down before reversing.

We have single and double Joy Stick controls available, as well as rocker switches.

As with all the QL Marine Accessories, the new CT Series Bow thrusters are backed by Volvo-Penta, the world leader in marine propulsion.
